Listening to your idea is the first step. Then comes interpreting it, studying anatomy, defining the composition and creating a design that works on skin.
BEHIND THE WORK
The artist
I'm Javier Camargo, a tattoo artist based in El Poblado, Medellín, Colombia. I've spent more than seven years doing what I love, with thousands of tattoos completed along the way. My work focuses on Black & Grey realism, portraits and large-scale pieces.
For me, every project starts with listening. I want to understand your idea, what it means to you and how we can make it work on your skin. I'll give you straightforward advice on the design, size and placement, even when that means suggesting a change. I want you to feel comfortable throughout the process and leave with a thoughtfully planned tattoo that feels personal and stays readable over time.

How many sessions will I need?
It depends on size, detail and placement. For large projects, we plan sessions after reviewing the idea.
Can you cover an existing tattoo?
Send clear photos of your existing tattoo. Some cover-ups require changes in scale, contrast or composition.
Can I plan a tattoo while visiting Medellín?
Yes, share your tentative travel dates so we can review feasibility. Availability must be confirmed directly.
